Queer Experimentalism – Klonaris & Thomadaki
An insight into the artistic research and process surrounding the creation of the short film Spermwhore.During a period of research at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gothenburg, the film project Spermwhore emerged through exploring the artistic process and its ability to reflect over time. This short film is a queer, feminist and experimental work that began in 2009 and came to fruition in the spring of 2013.Sperwhore is a queer experimental film about unwanted childlessness in a world where normative heterosexual relationships dictate who can become parents and in what way. When it comes to reproduction our merciless bodies reduce us to merely a set sex or given gender. But the longing for children is not limited to our bodies, and the possibility of pregnancy can be gifted, shared and undertaken together.

Anna Linder was born and raised in Storuman, southern Lapland. She is an active feminist, ar- tist, curator and works primarily in the field of moving images. In 2012 she completed a Mas- ter of Fine Arts, in Film, University of Gothen- burg. Between 2004 and 2012 she worked as a curator and producer at Filmform, The Art Film and Video Archive in Stockholm. Currently, Anna Linder is researching the subject of Queer Moving Images at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gothenburg together with Ingrid Ryberg.
