Welcome to the Symposium on Artistic Research on November 20th!
During the last ten years the Swedish Research Council has financed more than 80 research projects within Artistic research. In what ways have these projects contributed to both the artistic research and other relevant fields? What role does the artistic research play for the institutions and how is it assessed from the outside? On 20 November we discuss the impact of artistic research during a symposium.

The symposium’s theme
The theme of the symposium is the impact of artistic research. The purpose is to highlight examples that reflect the breadth of artistic research, and to discuss questions about how it is disseminated and what happens to the research results.
Where and how is artistic research assessed and referred to?
What kind of impact is relevant and interesting?
Are there any other contexts than the existing ones where impact should be made, and what can be done to promote the dissemination of research?
How should the impact best be measured and assessed, and what is quality in artistic research?
